Beacon, New York Collection

Beacon is where art, culture, history and natural beauty meet.  Dia, the world's largest contemporary art museum, opened in May 2003.  Since then Beacon has seen a revival of galleries and new art studios.  The Beacon Arts Community Association sponsors a Second Saturday every month when galleries and stores stay open till 9pm and many feature openings and special events.

Located between the mountains and the river, Beacon has many historical and natural beauty areas.  The East End of Main Street has many antique stores and art galleries such as Carl Van Brunt, Back Room and Go North.  Visit the Howland Center for monthly exhibits and numerous musical concerts and other art venues.   The West End of Beacon features the RiverWinds Gallery of traditional fine arts and contemporary crafts.  The Hudson Beach gives glass blowing demonstrations.  visit the www.beaconarts.org website for more information.
