Artist Reception - Saturday September 17, 2016 4 - 6pm
The Sherman Library is pleased to announce the art showcase, “Waters of the World” – Photographs by Linda T Hubbard, beginning on Saturday, September 17, 2016 through November 4th.
A new resident of Sherman, Conn, Linda T Hubbard has been photographing the environment around her ever since she was a Brownie in Meriden, Conn. Both her parents loved photography and instilled in her at an early age the love of capturing what you see. She has recently lived in the Hudson Valley where after retiring from IBM, she was a photographer, gallery owner and arts advocator. Whenever she travels, her camera is always with her.
From Australia’s Great Barrier Reef to the Cliffs of Mohr in Ireland, to the Shores of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, to the Calm Waters of Candlewood Lake, and more… Linda’s love of water and how it varies due to the landscape, the light, or the weather comes through in her photographs. And the water always speaks to her….
Come meet and enjoy this showcase featuring our new Sherman resident and accomplished photographer and arts advocator on Saturday September 17, 2016, 4 – 6 pm.
