In 2007, before the Poughkeepsie Railroad Bridge was the Walkway and before some of the Bannerman Castle walls came down, Hubbard flew in an R22 Helicopter from the Bear Mountain Bridge to the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge with her camera.   Her aerial photographs give us a very different perspective on man and nature; the towns, the mansions, and the bridges amongst the river, the streams and the mountains.  Hubbard lived in the Hudson Valley for over 50 years.  Her birds eye view photographs of the area she loved capture a sense of its beauty and its history.

Pawling, NY is nestled between the Hudson and the Housatonic rivers that are connected by the Appalachian Trail (AT).   Several LAND Gallery artists have captured the local beauty between these two rivers and along the AT.  Photographers Justin Goodhart, Jane Haslam, Linda Hubbard and Rebecca Tocci and watercolor artist Kelly Edwards each have their own eye and sense of the land. These artists depict the landscape of color, water, and intensity of the rivers, streams, swamps, lakes and waterfalls; the majestic hills and mountains; and the quiet beauty of a wooded path, or single tree or flower.  Nature is both calming and soothing and we live in an incredible area of nature.  Come to LAND Gallery and take home a piece of artwork to remind yourself how fortunate we are to live in such an area.

Also, at the gallery are photographs by LAND Gallery photographers  Marco Catini, Julian Diamond, Kelly Goodhart and  Genevieve St Louis Jan.   There are nature inspired vases, mugs and soap dishes by Ann Heywood; necklaces and earrings by Karen Ostrom and woodworks by Ed Bryan with bowls, pens, necklaces, vases and more, all made from local sustainably sourced woods. There are also children’s books by local artists Carol Paterno and Doris Tomaselli and “Fathom Soaps” by Genevieve St Louis Jan.

LAND Gallery also has a section called “Take Home a Piece of Pawling'' featuring Pawling scenes and gifts such as mugs, magnets, homeware, photo books, and a line of cards and coasters.  The Gallery has beautiful local landscape photographs by some of the most talented photographers in the Pawling area.   It is located in the historic Dutcher House in the heart of the Village of Pawling, NY.  The Gallery is open Thursday 10 - 4pm, Friday 10 - 7pm, Saturday 10am-3 pm and Sunday 11 - 2pm Or By Appointment
