LAND Gallery in Pawling, New York is presenting a new show “The Art of the Garden” photographs by Linda T Hubbard.  Come take a garden walk via these photographs that have captured designs ranging from highly structured to natural settings and varied colors, patterns, and plants.   The show is July 1 – August 27, 2023 with an artist reception Friday July 7, 2023 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Throughout her travels and through her lens, Hubbard has searched out gardens: from Australia and New Zealand; to the British Isles of England, Scotland and Ireland; to the European Continent of France, Portugal, Greece and Italy;  to the American gardens of Vanderbilt in Hyde Park, NY to Hollister House in Washingtonville, CT to local gardens.  Each has its own climate and sense of nature.  Each has its own flora, with vibrant or subdued color schemes. And each has its own human element.  “Whether walking through a bluebells garden in Scotland, or Monet’s waterlily garden, or a friend’s garden, I love to capture how gardeners have interpreted nature’s beauty .  Each garden is so different and varies by the time of year. It is an always changing scene of discovery, of seeing nature’s and gardeners’ continuing gift to us.” says Hubbard.
 

Hubbard’s love of photography started at an early age with a brownie camera, but it was not until after retirement from IBM that she had the time to devote to her camera and love of photography.  Her second love is helping other artists.  She is a former President of BeaconArts, Chair of Art Along the Hudson and co-owner of RiverWinds Gallery in Beacon, NY.  Currently she is the Sherman Library Art Curator and President of the Sherman Artists Association, www.shermanartists.org.  For more information visit her website:  www.LindaTHubbard.com
